These are the two first professional degrees in medicine and surgery awarded upon graduation from medical school by universities in countries that follow the tradition of the United Kingdom .
What is the Full form of MBBS degree?
The full form of MBBS is Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery.
In Latin language it is Medicine Baccalaureus Baccalaureus Chirurgiae.
What is the Duration of MBBS degree Course?
The total duration of MBBS course is 5 years and 6 months.
4 years and 6 months for academic course and 1 year for rotational internship at hospitals,health centres and health campus organised by Non Government Organisations NGO.Syllabus of MBBS
Studies on Anatomy, Pharmacology, Pathology as well as Community Health and Medicine,Paediatrics and Surgery are included in the MBBS course syllabus.
Candidates who wants to get admission in MBBS degree course must have passed class 12th minimum of 50% with science,subject physics,chemistry
and zoology/botany and they are also must have studied English as the main subject for their qualifying examination.
Candidate must have completed 17 years of age and not exceed the age of 25 at the time to get admission in MBBS degree course.
There is a 10% reservation for the reserved categories including SC and ST.
1. You need to appear the entrance exam NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test). This is the only entrance test for admission to MBBS course and is accepted by both Government and Private Institutions.
2.You have to qualify NEET with a good percentage,so that you can rank in the merit list.
3.All the selected candidates will be invited for counselling.
4.On the based of your rank you are offered to select the college of your choice.
5.At counselling time you need to present the documents they have asked for.
If you scored good, you able to get admission in Government college otherwise you have to choose a private college which are more expensive their fees are in lakhs.
There were two other major entrance test JIPMER MBBS Exam and AIIMS MBBS exam for admission to MBBS course in India.These were scraped in 2019 making NEET. NEET is the most important medical entrance exam in India.

After completion MBBS, students can apply for a postgraduate degree in medical science MD/ MS or continue working in the health sector as qualified doctors such as:-
